Gym club

Come to Gym Club with the Shed!  Join your trans masc peers for a monthly gym session by booking a ticket to one of our upcoming dates.

Whether you are new to the gym or have a regular workout sorted, we want to create a safe space to enjoy movement together. This monthly session will provide an open opportunity to learn new things, share what works for you, and get to know other trans masc people who like working out.

Building muscle, getting fit, or just moving your body can all be empowering parts of gender affirmation. But all too often gyms do not feel accessible for trans and non-binary folks. So we want to help you get started with a gym routine, and provide a fun place to workout together. Come and work out with other trans masc people in a relaxed open gym setting.

We are partnering with T Generation Gym to provide this peer-led open gym session. T Generation Gym is a trans-led space in Brunswick East. They will provide a coach for our session, to help beginners get started and for safety and coaching tips. You can read about T Generation on their website.

Cost: Sliding scale depending on what you can afford - $5-20. Free tickets for First Nations people.

Getting there: Plenty of parking nearby, trams 1 and 6 go up Lygon St to stop 125.

Accessibility: Visit our accessibility page for more info

Legals: All attendees will need to sign a waiver and complete a simple medical screening online before the session. We will contact you with the link once you register.

We at The Shed acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we meet and organise,
the Wurundjeri People of The Kulin Nation. We recognise their strength and resilience and pay our respects
to Elders past and present. We also pay our respects to the First Nations members of The Shed,
and to any Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people who may be reading this.

Sovereignty was never ceded.
